This ace ‘legal thrillers’ writer, who as a child dreamed of making it big in professional baseball, started his writing with ‘A Time to Kill’ in 1987. From thereon, there has been no looking back. To date, all his novels have been bestsellers, some of them made into blockbuster movies as well.

The author is turning a new page in his career as a writer: Children’s book author.
In a deal that took him away from long-time publisher Doubleday, Grisham will be penning a series of books aimed at 8 to 12-year-olds, called Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer. The first chapter can be found on the book’s website. The whole book goes on sale May 25, with a first print run of 1 million copies.
For an author who’s one of the very few to sell two million copies on a first printing – the other’s being Tom Clancy & J.K Rowling – this experiment ought to be interesting.
We can’t wait to get our hands on the book for ourselves and our young readers.
Keep watching this space as we announce its availability on our shelves.
