A case of comparing apples with berries?

Well, not only are the tablet wars getting hotter, they are getting personal.

Sample this:

After Apple Inc CEO Steve Jobs’ remarked that his company had sold more iPhones than Research in Motion (RIM) had sold BlackBerrys, RIM hit back yesterday saying customers were getting tired of “being told what to think by Apple.”

Jobs also criticised the seven-inch tablet computers ‘PlayBook’ manufactured by RIM. We’d written about this tablet PC here.

“This size isn’t sufficient to create great tablet apps in our opinion,” Jobs said. The iPad has a 9.7-inch screen.

To this Balsillie (RIM Co-Chief Executive) responded that “for those of us who live outside of Apple’s distortion field..

That’s the first time Apple is being called a distorter.  Are the days of being called iconic products now in limbo?

Interesting days lie ahead……
