E-Books enliven things

That’s an understatement, if ever there was one.

Engadget reports that:

US sales of e-books generated about $90.3 million in revenue in February — roughly triple the sales reported in the same month last year.

Meanwhile, printed books declined 34 percent and 16 percent in those respective areas, with gentler, single-digit drops for education and religious titles.

Going forward, it will be interesting to see how the market in India responds or reacts to these events that blow in from the West. Will e-readers become ubiquitous as, lets say, mobiles? Or, will they merely provide an alternative to holding a book in your hands?

Only time will tell.  Click this article for more info.
