The King of Good Tunes

We all love a good tune.  And you can’t get tunes any better than from the inimitable A.R Rahman himself!! Jai Ho!

On our shelves are currently these two books on the maestro.

So the excitement of having his official biography is almost palpable.  Penned by British television producer Nasreen Munni Kabir — who has made documentaries like Movie Mahal, In Search Of Guru Dutt, How to Make it Big in Bollywood and The Inner and Outer World of Shah Rukh Khan — this book is titled A R Rahman: The Spirit of Music.

In the format of a coffee table book, ARR talks about his experiences from Roja to Raavan. The musician began his career with Roja, which earned him fame, fortune and worldwide adulation. Since then, there is no looking back for this ace music director. Rahman’s book will comprise details of all the films that he has worked thus far and this also includes the yet-to-be released Mani Ratnam directed Raavan.
